Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving

The Attitudinal Dynamics of Driving (ADoD) Course, now in its 5th edition, was developed by the National Safety Council. This 8-hour evidence-based course is taught by certified law enforcement instructors and is designed for drivers of all ages who wish to improve their skills or have been mandated by the courts to take such a course.

Our goal is to reduce the number of violations, injuries and fatalities associated with automobile crashes. The course includes defensive driving principles and strategies, DUI education, basic traffic law review, factors that create risk, recognizing unsafe driving situations, and furthering the understanding that our choices are based on thought and reason.

The course is based on the work of behaviorist William Glaser’s institute and book, Choice Theory. Participants come to better understand what motivates their driving behaviors and make better driving choices. The course includes a self-assessment profile and personal action plan.
